the new new.

Have you seen this!

Interview Magazine did a little something on the new new gen in fashion. Putting together the names we may know, who are actually the ones we should know! Next they did a feature with the labels all together, just see how strong it looks! I wish I could do this..

Maybe I should get my ass to NYC to intern at Interview. However, didn't Karl Templer left Interview? Because if I would like to intern, it will be assisting Karl. Dah! Ha. Maybe I need his contact information. Yeah! Anyone?

Eitherway, peek this, read it and see more at: www.interviewmagazine.com/fashion/the-new-new

And oh, sorry for the volume-thingy in some of the printscreen-shots. Apple TV was fucking my Macbook while taking the items/photos from the website of Interview. Ha. x

i heart joris bruring.

I'm not even sure if he's a streetphotographer, but I do know I adore the photos he takes. He shot the marvelous shot of me outside the AIFW-tents this January. Who still remains as my profile photo on Facebook.

But besides that, Joris Bruring is a cool guy who is set to do even cooler things. Hope to see him in Paris again next week. And it seems he recently started a blog, finally, ha. Peek his work at www.bruring.net/wordpress

milano rtw fall/winter 2009-10.

I'm so upset. And this time it's not that mucho about my personal life, but mostly about fucking fashionweek, the new season, and most most mostly about Milano. Nah-ah. So far, not so good. I don't get it, it's too wearable and too.. nothing new.

I hope the upcoming shows are better. Burberry and mostly Jil Sander, they really let me down in Milano. I did like a bit of Gianfranco, see below, and that's horrible aswell, because their show last season was close to being, or may be, my fav!

Gianfranco Ferré
Not as strong as last season, but cool. Maybe too mucho too late. Nothing new, but very nice. I need to see closeup, details. x

with a smile towards the future.

For me, this blog is, still a sort of diary thingy, and so, I will not peek the number of visitors and readers, to, and still continue with what I feel like, and, what I, want to post. And write, ofcourse.

I'm in a period of my life in which I learn how to act, re-act and also cherish certain things. I'm trying to find out what I want and where to put my focus on first. And eventhough I know, it are your twenties who are perfect for these periods, it surely doesnt make it any better. More simple, more easy.

But instead of being in there, in the mood, I find myself being on the second part in which things start to make sence. In which the sky around me gets a bit more clear and my heart and mind find a bit more balance, because thats what it's all about nah, balance.

However, for someone, such as myself, who is about contrasts, edges and mixtures, finding a balance is what it is all about, the big struggle. But I can't say I dislike the battle and wil participate in it, to find out whatever will result from it, this, all.

I think that things happen for a reason. I believe that the right-time exists and maybe something will have another chapter, when the time is right. And as I'm not really impulsive, as I'm way too sensitive and open. I'm glad to have love around me and mucho to look forward to.

And I will always wonder, always love and always hope. For many things, in which the future may be my host. I all of a sudden get the feeling this year is going to be a very important one, which also scared me a little. But I know, whatever may happen, if I may fall or fail, someone will catch me and be there.

Love, x

dance with me max.

Have you met Max Sokolov yet?

Former Dancer from Russia who now-a-days works as a model. But the combination is what makes him so interesting. Plus, surely he's quite good-looking, nah? Ha. I think I should do a dance-high-fashion-shoot. I'll come back on that one, yeah. x

i fucking heart rad.

Rad Hourani Fall/Winter 2009-10.

It's already hard finding images of this show. Not to mention, you only see the womens looks, while in fact it's an unisex collection, where the guys are way more sophisticated and mindblowing than most of the women are.

And to be honest, it's the only collection I've seen in a while, of which I want to have, everything. Every single items, all! I'm going to save quite some money now, because I want the shoes, at least one pair of trousers and a jacket. And maybe I should take Rad with me home aswell, ha. He's so cute. Ha.

Gosh. I heart it, all of it. Thank god it's not in stores yet. x

the sophisticated look, part zillion.

Get smart, don't wear colour, but peek the lines and mind the details. And the fabrics.

From up till down: Opening Ceremony, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Ann Demeulemeester, Ann Demeulemeester, Lanvin, Christopher Kane and Acne.

i heart annie.

While Damien Rice sings Lonely Soldier, my mind is taking a walk after it just joined me on watching this small little something about Annie Liebowitz, who is one of my all-time fav photographers and a great inspiration. And whatever I would mention about this or her, you have to see it yourself.

All I can hope for is that there will be a day, she and myself, will be working together on a shoot. Knowing she's on my list, ha. So maybe I would say, I'll dream to make this dream come true. As it's probably like Emily Dickinson her poem in which faith or hope is the bridge to what it is you want. Without that, you will never get it in the first place.

Damien switched to The Blowers Daughter, my heart stops, my eyes hurt, my mouth tries to smile and my mind is with you.

Isn't she great. Annie. x

london rtw fall/winter 2009-10, pt 2.

The creativity in London is less and more. It's up and down, in and out, hot and cold, haha. No joking. But it is something different this time, maybe it's time for new names, the new new London gen. Maybe. The others are doing a nice job, peek my picks..

Giles Deacon
Toooo much, way tooo mucho. I wanna have this, certain items and a hat, but the styling, the models, the horror. It's, I dunno. Not my cup of cake or piece of bread or ha, what is it again, cup of tea. Ha. Go back, come back. x

Henry Holland
I think the guy is just brilliant. No nonsence, or how you may type it, it's fucking simple but the entire image is correct. The it-kids, the colours, the lines, the accessories, them shoeeees and the furrcoat. The one-sleeve arm shoulder thingy and whatever more. It's all in there, it's wearable, it's sellable, it's great! It makes me smile, big-time!

Josh Goot
I adore Josh, I think he's smart, I see it's wearable, but always with a twist. Hopefully he's in Paris too. He's marvelous. x

Louise Goldin
Who did the hair and makeup, they fuck-up the entire look. The outfits, peek em, I couldnt blog more, they are great! But the hair and makeup take the attention from them, no, no, no, not good. But the looks, sublime.

Mark Fast
He needs more, maybe a better team, or a stylist, or a director. He needs to do more, because I'm sure he can. The first look blows my mind, but the rest lets me down. I wanna meet this guy, I see things happen. Yeah.

Marios Schwab
The fur reminds me of Versace a little while ago. The black blue red is very And Beyond and I see some Balenciaga and Lacroix in there. Or maybe, that's just me. However, it's a fact the collection isn't his best or the most refreshing. I do love this dress and that jacket. Maybe he should put his focus again on accessories, perhaps for next season. x

Peter Pilotto
Nice but not brilliant. However, these two blow my mind. x

i heart rutger derksen.

A small week ago I had a photoshoot with Jonathan Waiter, shooting Rutger Derksen, who you may know from editorials such as the Dazed and Confused one in which Robbie gave him his signature red-head. Anyway, the shooting was fun, and Rutger is sublime to work with! Thankfully, the same goes for Jonathan, who left L.A. and now-a-days lives in The Netherlands.

I havnt seen that many photos yet, so really curious. And eventhough I did the styling myself, I love love it. Ha. Riutger surely knows how to rock it. Will post more when peeking Jonathan his shots! x
