hometown glory.

A good week so far. I just got back from Dennis and friends, went shopping for shootings and more, saw Joost again after ages! And went to Ikea with Sanne which was mucho fun. And I bought a zillion useless, but awesome items! Haha. Anyway, can't sleep right now, too much on my mind.

Above a few photos from a little eating and shopping day with Jan-Clemens Hoek, this weird and abs. funny little guy who owns some of the most amazing stores here in The Netherlands, for now at least, called L'Empresse with exclusive items from Balenciaga to Marios Schwab, Rodarte and so on. But to leave that on the side, it's just a lot of fun hanging with him.

We did lunch for a few times that day, a little photoshoot on the street and haha, oh I will miss you when youre off to Cali for a month!

Next, whats next.. actually a lot. But now is just not the time to spit them out yet, haha. Oh, I adore the new Max Mara ads, dislike the mens Lanvin show and did I mention I can't sleep as I'm missing Freeck. I feel like a little kid, dunno whats wrong. I'm too young for drama, or acting too hysteric and all, but I do.. haha.

Working on a denim story for Blend Magazine by the way, so if anyone knows any great and amazing denim pieces or designers, please let me know! Also I hope JP and Majid brought me my Lanvin glasses from Paris, not sure though.. I'm just happy theyre back!

And whatelse.. I have to work within like 5 hours, bah. For now, just hometown glory and little chocolate cookies. x

mens fashionweek spring/summer 2009, pt 4.

New day, new shows. And if this is the look or styles we're heading to.. I'm a really happy person next season! x

Comme des Garcons

Finally the Japanese trends jump in mainstream, or well.. not yet, but I hope they will. Skirts for men, shorts over tight jeans or treggings and what so ever more. Not that much colour, redhairdo's. OMFG! That one model, I'm in love. Oh, I am, but now a little more haha. Anyway, great collection, I'm really curious to see the H&M collection now, haha. x

Givenchy
It's me! I was wearing my leather shorts the other day, all black, oversized above, wow. I adore this look, I'm so so gonna lend shitmuch from this collection and maybe even try to copp some items myself. Givenchy is getting stronger by season, cool to see again! x

Maison Martin Margiela
Perfect for editorials or crazy parties, lovely colouring again, nude/beige and black. Sparkles all over, fun. x

Raf Simons
Best show so far, it's insane it's amazing, the shapes, the lines, the simpleness, the colours, or actually no colours, the shoes, the models, the glasses, those legs, it's delicious, it's strong and I'm in love. I can watch these looks non stop and wanna have almost every single item, not kidding. Raf, sush a genius designer! x

mens fashionweek spring/summer 2009, pt 3.

Paris has started.. Lanvin as the one to look out for the most, here are a few other nice ones!

Dries van Noten
Dries is dries, what can I say? So far, so good. I want to see this on vid. x

Kilgour
It's nice to find Kilgour on men.style.com, great suits, jackets and fits. What Cerruti did a few seasons ago, it's now up to Kilgour. I do hope this one will stay strong and online.

Louis Vuitton
Despite the shoes, which I almost dislike, not saying hate, the collection is really relaxed and simple, nice and complete. Drop the hats, put on the rest, go for a walk and feel amazing. It's pure luxury on a lovely cloud, haha. (Did I just wrote this, what a bullshit, haha)

Number (N)ine
The clothes are cool lalalaa, but the styling and the show, amazing! Who did this? The hairdo the wigs I should say, haha. The layering the attitude, it's fresh and really cool. Get inspired ya'll!

Veronique Branquinho
I love her style, her designs are to die for. Okay, let's not over-lalalaa. But they are, so so wearable and pretty strong and really simple. However I do still prefer het womens more, its strong and sellable aswell! Great.

Yves Saint Laurent
I still don't get it why they don't do a show, presentation, bah! There are some really nice pieces and great styles, bah.
